Chicago Car Show 2018

Great time at this years auto show over at McCormick Place. Once again we roamed the show among many oogling and drooling over the newest models of cars, trucks, awesome looking displays and friendly faces. It makes one think how we love our four wheel machines. People jumping in to the driver seats and imaging another life roaming the roads like nomads with all the luxury and technology built in. The outside world can be in ruins like some Mad […]

Dainese Chicago Store Opening

Many familiar faces and many new ones over at the grand opening of the Dainese Store in Chicago. How exciting is it to have a top quality store that provides leathers, helmets, gloves, shoes, boots and all sorts of good motorcycle apparel and to be opening up near by. I’ve always loved this brand of gear ever since I was a young rider and meeting a new friend who shows up to ride dressed to the T in a one […]

Progressive International Motorcycle Show 2018

This year’s motorcycle was filled with familiar friendly faces all with smiles on checking out the latest moto machines. The displays and layouts were nice and many cool custom bikes as part of the best bike contest. As always the show has a full compliment of bike manufactures and many apparel shops to stock up for a the riding season. Many cool bikes and my personal favorite was the 2018 Honda CB1000R. I fell in love with this one and […]

5 Star Bar Motorcycle Monday July American Motos

Happy 4th of July everyone! This month’s motorcycle Monday brought out the American class of bikes. Many Harley Davidson’s and a few Indians motorcycles. The evening featured a bike off of two fine vintage cycles. Like a fine wines waiting to be tasted and appreciated all for your viewing pleasure. A 1950 Harley Davidson Pan Head vs. a 1948 Indian Chief. It’s a battle that has been going on as long as Ford vs. Chevy, as long as Red Sox […]

The Jayhawks at Thalia Hall

The Jayhawks are an American alternative country and country rock band that emerged from the Twin Cities music scene during the mid-1980s. Their country rock sound was influential on many bands who played the Twin Cities circuit during the 1980s and 1990s like Uncle Tupelo, the Gear Daddies and the Honeydogs. They have released several studio albums, including five on the American Recordings label. On hiatus from 2005 to 2009, the band has since reunited, releasing an album, […]

The Iguanas at FitzGerald’s

Got there early, got some good seats, the stage was set. We we’re impatiently waiting for them to come on to repeat the enjoyment of the music from their last visit. The Iguanas is a roots rock band from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, formed in 1989. Their sound has been described as combining Chicano rock, R&B, Conjunto and various Latin styles into a deep groove.

International Motorcycle Show 2017 Review

In the winter months of Chicago there’s not much riding to be done, so instead we fantasize and dream of that next adventure riding our cycles. In the meantime February always brings a breath of fresh air when we’re able to see the latest and greatest motorcycles at the International Motorcycle show. I always advise the newbies in the market that this is a great place to sit on a cycle and take a first look. After all that’s what […]

World of Chocolate

Sensory overload! From sight to smell to taste. All were in full swing this evening over at Chicago’s World of Chocolate. When I first walked in I noticed the delicious preparation by the feature artists in this world. Their feverishly scramble to get the visual right before opening to the public. It was an organized chaos in motion. All that was needed was some background music of the Marching of the Ants.
